Crowded

Jack and Sadie are 6 months old now, and that means bath time is getting a little more crowded these days! And we love it...

This pic was before bathtime.  I was going to take some after, but they were both a little too hungry and tired to comply.

Had to include this pic 'cuz it just shows what they're up to these days. Last week, Jack realized he could grab his feet so he does it all the time now. He also found his "D" sound and we love hearing him practice all the time, "nnndadadadadada...".  Sadie (and Jack, for that matter) always has her fingers in her mouth and still slobbers all over. They're both rolling all over the place lately too... guess I'd better start vacuuming more. We love our happy babies!

We just happened to go to the doctor today, so here are their 6-month stats for the record:

HEIGHT
Jack: 26.25" (50%)
Sadie: 25.5" (50%)

WEIGHT
Jack: 21lb 1oz (90%)
Sadie: 17lb 14oz (90%)

HEAD CIRCUMFRENCE
Jack: 46cm (90%)
Sadie: 46.5cm (Off the charts! Sorry, girl:)

Mmmmm

I've been so into s'mores lately. They're such a quick and delicious treat and when Adam requested them the other day I was easily talked into it. We tried these ones with KitKats instead of plain chocolate (Adam's idea). Delicious! I loved the extra crunch. Adam preferred just the KitKat and marshmallows uncooked and separate.  Since then I've tried it with rollos too... yum! Not that I need an excuse to eat these more, but let me know if you have any other delicious variations. :)

Siblings

I love that we have three kids and that Adam finally has siblings. Even though Jack and Sadie are still very young, I love that they all have each other and I love observing the dynamics among the three of them. Here are some pictures that have been collecting on the camera lately, just for fun.

They both almost have both fists in their mouths. I think they might be hungry...

What'd I tell ya about boys and boxes? I love how Jack's just staring at Adam and smiling. (Yeah, I can tell from an aerial view by the shape of his giant cheeks;)

Here are the brothers again... eating popcorn, watching a movie while daddy works late. Check out Jack's biceps!

We got some new books the other day, which Adam loves. We had a little story time and Jack and Sadie were mesmerized by storyteller Adam. (Yeah, the room is a mess and I have piles of laundry out again. But if I take the time to clean up the room, I miss my photo op!:)

Kindergarten Update

Adam still loves kindergarten, which makes me very happy. He (along with the rest of the fam) was pretty sick a week or two ago and had to stay home for a few days. During this time off of school we had to play school. Complete w/the whole memorized morning routine and everything. He even drew pictures of things that are on his classroom walls so we could put them up around the house. My only problem lately (which I just heard about this morning) is that he has apparently been kissing some girlfriend at school. I heard about this from a certain girl's mother. Yikes! I don't know if this was on the lips, cheek, hand, or what, but I think we'll be having a little chat when he gets home from school today...

These pix are from his classroom "apple party" last month. They had a bunch of songs prepared with the little program, complete with apple juice, apple decorations, and caramel apples. He was so excited about this and so proud of if all.

Dad was even able to catch the end of it

Love it

Love my spittin' Sadie bug! She's such a slobber-face and can NOT control the spit a-flyin' whenever she sneezes! Funny girl. You'd think she was pushing a tooth or something, but there's no sign of it for her or Jack yet. :)

Fierce!

Adam loves to go crazy with his face paint. Nothing brings him more joy than when I say "yes" to one of his frequent face-painting requests. Man, he's intense!

Boo!

I love my boys!

...And Jack/Sadie sure love Adam. Anytime he's talking or doing anything, they are just completely enamored by him (as caught in this pic... along with our laundry waiting to be folded). They're getting more and more animated- it's been a lot of fun.

(p.s. In an effort to post more pictures and more frequently, I'm testing out ways I can post from my phone... we'll see how effective it is;)

His box

Adam has been having so much fun with spare boxes lately. If you give a boy a box... (plus markers and glue and other things make even more fun;)
