Playing hooky in Leavenworth

Our husbands had the day off so my friend Clare and I decided it would be a great idea to take the kids to Leavenworth! It's a little Bavarian village not too far away and I've been wanting to check it out for a long time. It's more of a tourist attraction during the winter because of the skiing, but we still had a fun time:)

The kids (well, all of us, really) needed a break from walking, so we played in this grassy area for a while. Jack and Sadie had fun practicing walking and eating pinecones, while the rest of us played hide-n-seek and did races.

Even a free trolley!

And we ended the day with some authentic, local, ...Cold Stone ice cream

Not to say that I have any artistic talent of my own... but this is just scary, right?!

Easter!

We are so lucky to have family (relatively) close by. Guy's brother Spence invited us down to spend Easter with him and his family. We spent the night Saturday and had a great Easter together!

Thanks for the great time, guys! Happy Easter!

Pre-Easter activities

Not too long after we moved into the new place we heard of a local church's day-before-easter egg hunt. We took advantage of the free activity and had a fun time!

Of course Adam had an Easter activity for his kindergarten class. All of the kindergarten classes combined for their egg hunt on the playground. It was a mad-house, but they had so much fun!
