Another move

As most of you have probably already heard, we had our house broken into and burglarized back in February. We then installed a security system. In March a couple of kids were spotted throwing a rock at our big kitchen window one night when Guy was out working and the rest of us were out of town. We don't know if this was random vandalism or another attempted break-in, but we decided that enough was enough and we needed to get out of there before the safety of our family was really compromised. We finally made this decision on a Sunday, checked out a bunch of houses on a Monday, and signed a new rental agreement within a week. About a week later we were getting a moving truck and now we live here!:

We love this place! It's an old farmhouse; about 100 years old and on 4.4 acres of land. It's totally out in the country, though we're still in the same city as before. It has so much personality and we've been having a blast living here. Plus we're getting a great deal on rent! The only catch is that the owner is trying to sell the place at the same time, so we literally have no idea how long we get to stay. Here's hoping it's long enough.

Have I mentioned yet how lucky/blessed we are to live close to family? They're always there when we need them, even to help us move when they were just helping us move into our first place only 9 months ago.  See that landing partway up the stairs? How there's no railing? Well, there is now after adam totally did a (accidental) flip over the side after less than 24 hours of living there. We're so lucky that it only resulted in a goose egg on his forehead. He fell pretty hard on that tile; I can't believe he didn't hit anything else.

Lots of fun features in the new place, including a little pond that the kids love playing in.

Check out the beautiful view out the kitchen window!

Ok, this is back at the old place... packing up everything was a bit of a joke! I hate moving.
