10 years? What?! How'd that happen?!

It's a little hard to believe, but Guy and I have been married for TEN years!! Long story short, Guy finally convinced his frugal wife to actually take a real trip, and really by ourselves. It was all really short notice, so Hawaii ended up being the best option... fun, tropical, and no passport required. And it was amazing! We flew into Honolulu, rented a car (cheapest one was a convertible mustang, unfortunately!), and enjoyed the scenery on our hour drive to the Polynesian Cultural Center. It was pretty touristy, but still a lot of fun. Those tree climbers were super impressive!

The luau dinner was amazing! We (along with a bunch of other couples) were even invited on stage because we were celebrating our anniversary. Check out the purple rolls! Kinda like potato rolls, but made from the same tarot root that they make poi from.

Great day! That with the flight, though, and we were pretty tired. We drove back to the hotel in Honolulu, but decided that 10pm was too early to go to bed. We had to maximize this vacation! So we dropped off our luggage and decided to wander downtown Honolulu a bit. I was less-than-impressed with this side of the city. Maybe it was just too late to really appreciate much. As soon as we started seeing scantily-clad ladies hanging out on street corners, we decided it was probably time to get back to the hotel;)
